When I stayed with Bev the other weekend, she gave me some boxes from her attic. She claims she didn’t want anything in the boxes. So I had to give them a home!

I haven’t explored all the treasures inside the boxes. I opened the small box on top and found . . .

some Dresden plates already pieced together.

There are 16 plates.  There are some size variations between the different plates.

If I put them together like they are on the wall it will measure 60″ square. So I’d have a lap quilt. But I could make it bigger with slightly larger blocks and some sashing and borders. Maybe I’ll set the plates on 16″ squares, then set the squares with 4″ sashing. That would give me an 84″ square, which would work for a queen size bed.

I have to finish the red and blue checkerboard before I can do anything with these. And I want to finish the Birthday quilt (I’m still waiting for two blocks to be returned to me!!!) So I better get into the studio and SEW!!! Some day I should try to finish organizing, too. (Yeah! that’s going to happen!)
