It’s almost the start of a new year and I’ve been thinking about what direction to go in 2011. I have so many UFO’s sitting around, mocking me. I can feel them saying, “Another year gone by and I’m still sitting on the shelf! Do you think you’ll ever get me done?”

Then there are all the projects that I have patterns or ideas for and I haven’t even started them. I’d really like to work on the Civil War Diary quilt. I’ve collected reproduction fabric for over two years for that project. 2011 is the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, so it would be perfect timing to get that quilt done during the next year. But I know that it will take a lot of time to do and I really should get a lot of other things finished.

I do know one thing. I’m going to finish the two red, white and blue nine patch quilts that I started in September. They are for the two twin beds at the cabin that do not have handmade quilts on them. That has bothered me for over two years and I’m going to take care of it asap!

I wanted to include this photo of Honey. If you remember, she got clipped by a car about a month ago. She has three fractures in her pelvis. But I’m thinking she’s well on the road to recovery, judging by the way she’s twisted herself around on the recliner. She’s not supposed to be on the furniture, but I guess she felt she was entitled after her near death experience!
