Darling Hubby and I went out last night to buy a pair of tennis shoes for him. I got a pair of shoes, too, but we hadn’t planned on buying them! Darling Daughter was at work, so we timed it to have supper with her during her break. We were on our way home, with no particular need to do anything else. Then DH decided that while we were out we should start to look for a small car to help save on gas costs. He’s afraid the price of gas is going to go higher and stay there. But he wasn’t sure exactly what type of car he wanted to look for.

Hm-m-m-m. This all sounds good so far.

So we stopped at a car lot and looked at the Nissan and the Subaru and Honda and a few others that were there on the lot.

Mind you, we were just looking. Had no intention of buying. Just wanted to get some ideas.

This is what we came home with . . .

I’m not sure if I’m shocked or amused by my DH. But he has played directly into my hands! I can now set my devious plot to purchase a long arm quilter into motion!! Cause if he bought this to save on gas, I can certainly get a long arm to finish more quilts! After all, I give quilts as gifts, so it would save money since I’ll be able to make more gifts to give.

It is a nice looking car though, isn’t it?

On another note – here are a few of the Civil War Diary quilt blocks that I have finished.

#24 - Merchantable Goods

#25 - Bad Box

#26 - Robbers

There are more than this completed, but I’ve got to run. I’ll post again tomorrow with some more.
