Since I couldn’t get an appointment on Saturday and had to wait until Tuesday, it naturally follows that my ear stopped hurting! Not that I’m complaining!!
I was finally able to sit down and get some sewing done. My pile of little hexie flowers is building up. Also my log cabin blocks – I have 92 blocks finished and approx. 150 in various stages of completion! Woo-hoo! I need 400 blocks, so I’ve still got a way to go!

Speaking of my log cabin blocks – I want to thank everyone for their votes on layout. And the winner is . . . drumroll, please . . . .

Here's what the corner of layout #3 would look like

Layout #3!!!

After I had tallied up all the votes, I was looking through a quilt book “A Treasury of Mennonite Quilts” by Rachel and Kenneth Pellman, and found on page 6 a quilt made around 1920 by Katie Funk with almost the same arrangement of blocks. I hope mine will be turn out as nice as Mrs. Funk’s.

Mom is doing a little better now. She is home and getting around well. All the rehab for her knee seems to have paid off. Her tummy is calmed down right now, too. Let’s hope it continues that way for quite a while!!

Bev – Not sure what we’re doing this weekend yet, but I did get out the MCD costume. Realized a couple things. 1) I don’t have a cap, so I’ll need to borrow one, if we can be there. 2) Also need to borrow a man’s X-large shirt!! and 3) I hadn’t hemmed the skirt or shift – I’m going to work on that as soon as I get off the computer!!! I’ll give you a call as soon as I know what our plans are going to be.
