I feel like a terrible blogger. I had a wonderful evening with my quilt group. We went out to dinner at a beautiful restaurant, had a delicious meal, then attended the play “Quilters”. And I forgot to take my camera!! I have not one single photo from the evening to post here today! The only thing I can refer you to is You Tube. There are some video clips there of the play – not the version I saw last night, but it will give you an idea of what it is about. I had a wonderful evening despite the fact that I “neglected” poor DH once again!

I turned in my finished block for the Christmas quilt. It wasn’t due until our next meeting, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to attend that one.

I’m really happy with the way this turned out. There are a few spots where my applique isn’t “perfect” but it’s acceptable.
I spent the better part of a day turning this:

Thanks Bev for all the new pieces. I trimmed all the smallest strips to one inch. There are some that were 1 1/2″, so I left them as is for some other project. I didn’t trim the reds and pinks at this time. They’ll go into another project, too. Now I have a whole lot more variety for my log cabin blocks.
Here is some of the progress on that:

this is one fourth of the quilt top. I just have it pinned on the design wall right now. I’m going to leave it there for a while, just to admire!!! Every now and again, I move some blocks around when I notice the same colors too close together. This was the layout that was most popular during the voting.
