I try very hard to get organized. Notice that I said TRY. It seems like no matter what I do, or how much I work at it, there is always “stuff” that needs to be sorted out, rearranged, taken care of, etc. etc. etc.

I’ve been concentrating on getting the office “stuff” organized. Of course, this means that nothing else is getting done! 🙂 Because in this technological age there is not only the physical paperwork to be taken care of , but also the electronic “paper” work i.e. dealing with e-mail. It’s so easy to send an e-mail nowadays, so it seems like everyone is doing it! Then I have to sort through them, notify DH of things that need to be taken care of, follow up with DH it make sure he’s taken care of the things, respond to customers with updates on status of work, etc. etc. etc.

Then, there are the personal e-mails. Updates from family and friends. Newsletters from various organizations. I think you all know what I’m talking about. And I haven’t even mentioned SPAM!!! Er-r-r-g. Isn’t there some way that I can get on a “No Viagra” list!!! Really, why are there that many people trying to sell me Viagra!?! We don’t need it in this household!!

Okay, I got a little sidetracked there, but all this ranting does relate to my question. Because, while sorting through the mountains of e-mail, I came across the newsletter for our quilt group which is meeting tonight. And I read that we are supposed to bring our favorite quilt book to the meeting. I remembered that something like that had been mentioned at the last meeting but I had put this decision on the back burner. How in the world am I supposed to decide my one favorite book?

I suppose I could say that they are all my favorites, but taking my whole library to the meeting seems like a lot of work to me! And we were specifically instructed to only bring one book. ONE BOOK!!! Are they kidding!?! I will be interested in finding out how difficult this is for others in the group, cause I’ve been having a very hard time with it.

I finally decided on this:

Small Blocks, Stunning Quilts by Mary Elizabeth Kinch and Biz Storms. I used the photo from Amazon.com, so I hope you can see it okay.

It’s ONE of my favorites. I love looking at the quilts made with itty bitty pieces. I’m still working on my log cabin quilt that I started after I got this book. I recently ordered a second book by Mary and Biz:

It is supposed to arrive TODAY!! I’ll have to take a second book to the meeting, if it does. Of course, I probably won’t hear much of what is going on at the meeting, because I’ll be drooling over all the gorgeous quilts in the book!!!
