I don’t have much time for sewing today. It’s the end of the month, so that means I have to be working on invoicing. I’d gladly quit this job except that I do kind of like living in my home, eating regular meals and being able to buy fabric!!! Oh well, a girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do!

The moon was just gorgeous last night. DH was the one to say, “Grab your camera and take pictures of the moon.” I guess my love of the full moon is rubbing off on him.

Then I took a photo of the moon setting this morning. I wanted to take more as it disappeared behind the horizon, but the phone rang and I missed the shots.

I’m going out on a limb and making a prediction about the Easy Street mystery quilt. I think there are going to be 16 – 21″ blocks and the foursies that we’ve been making are going to be laid out like in the above photo.

I took the few clues that have been given to us and then did some hard thinking. Seriously, there was smoke coming out of my ears from all the gears turning in my head!! Bonnie told us that it is going to be an 84″ square quilt, 96″ square with borders, but they are optional. Well, a square quilt means that the blocks are the same amount across and up and down. And she said that there wasn’t much way to cut down for other size bed quilts. So I did some calculating. A 3 x 3 layout (nine blocks) might be possible, but then I divided 192 (# of four patches) by 9 (possible amount of blocks) and it doesn’t come out even. So then I thought about a 4 x 4 layout (16 blocks) Divide 192 x 16 and it comes out to 12. So we would be using 12 – four patches in each block. And with 7 x 7 – 3″ units in each block the blocks would measure 21″ each.

Does that make sense? I know it makes sense in my mind, but then again, my mind is a little strange! And maybe I’m way off. Only Bonnie knows for sure. I guess I’ll try to be patient and see how this all turns out in the next weeks.
