Just when I think I’m going to be a very good girl and I’m going to finish up all my WIP’s. And I solemnly swear that I’m going to go on a strict fabric diet. Just when I plan on doing all things virtuous, I see something and say, “Oh look! Something pretty!” And that’s all she wrote! Forget about it! All bets are off! Add on top of all that “SALE” and I’m a goner!

I started out with a fairly good report on my stash – I bought 3 yards of fabric. I mean, who in their right mind can resist double pinks and CHEDDAR! When you see it you just have to have it!! But I used 4.5 yards of fabric for the backing of the Bonnie quilt. so I had reduced my stash by 1.5 yards!!!

And then, there it was, 1/2 price remnants. And not just any remnants! Jo Morton (okay, so a few aren’t Jo’s) Now, I ask you, how was I supposed to resist that!?! Now I’ve been pretty good about only getting 1/2 yard cuts of fabric for the most part, but these were remnants. I HAD to take the whole piece. And some of these had 3 or more yards!!

OMGoodness! I wound up with 25 yards. Yes, I am hanging my head with shame! This is NOT the way to reduce a stash – take it from me!

Stash report:
Fabric used this week: 4.5 yards
Fabric added this week: 28 yards
Fabric used YTD: 13 yards
Fabric added YTD: 49 yards
YTD total: 36 yards added

I guess what this means is, I have got to spend way more time sewing!! Oh Darn!

BTW – Judy has been doing Stash Report Sunday, but I can’t always get on the computer on Sunday’s, which is why I am going to do mine on Tuesday. I can still link up with Judy’s Sunday report, so I think this will work better for me.

Oh, in case you were wondering how I managed to get 25 yards of fabric past the fabric police AKA – DH, I just got lucky. He was over at DS#2’s house when I got home and I was able to get it in and hidden – I mean, stored neatly on the shelf – before he knew a thing!!

Peace
