I was so busy this morning with various things that I didn’t even realize what time it was. All of a sudden I realized it was 11:45 and I still hadn’t posted on my blog!! Shame on me!

One of my Getting it Done items for January was to make a sample quilt for the workshop I’ll be leading in February. I wanted to have a sample, not only for the workshop, but also to show to Nadine, who is the chairperson for the donation quilts committee. She approved of the quilt and we bought all the fabric to make the kits. All 140 yards of it!!!! I think we let things get a little out of hand with the fabric purchase! And, let me say as an aside, I am very glad that this is not my personal fabric purchase!!!! I am pretty sure that I would not have been able to hide, I mean store, that much fabric!!

Ironing

Anyway, now that we have the fabric, we have to get it all pressed and ready for cutting. And by we, I mean me!! I didn’t exactly volunteer for the job and I really expected to have a some help, but somehow I’m the Huckleberry that’s got the job!

Fortunately, I’m one of those crazy people that doesn’t mind pressing – at least not too much. I’ve been working on it in little chunks of time and I’m about 1/3 of the way through.

And I haven’t been neglecting my other projects, not completely, although I could have gotten more done on them if I wasn’t pressing so much fabric! I’ve got almost all of the Bonnie blocks layered and pinned, so they will be ready for quilting. I still sit down in the evenings and do a little hand quilting on the Advent wall hanging, so it is getting close to done. And my Easy Street flimsy, well, I keep thinking about it and that’s almost the same as working on it, right!?!

Peace
