I had to share this with everyone – I think it might be why my stash has grown to such large proportions!

Fabric Understands

The Lenten season is over! I am now free to shop for fabric! Although I think that I may have kicked the habit of mindlessly buying fabric “just because”!! I hope that I’ve learned to control my impulse buying and only get fabric that I need for new projects. And “shop” from my stash first before I go out and buy more, more, more!!!!

Now, if I can only develop the habit of finishing projects before I start new ones!!! I think that will take more than one season of Lent to get into that habit!!!

Here’s the official stash report:

Fabric used this week: 0 yards
Fabric added this week: 0 yards
Fabric used YTD: 32 yards
Fabric added YTD: 54.25 yards
YTD total: 22.25 yards added

I still haven’t got the borders attached to the Bedford Beauty quilt, so I still can’t say that I’ve used that fabric. I’m hoping to have them attached and the binding sewn on before this weekend, so that I’ll have some hand sewing to do. Because . . .

Three ladies taking tea

Quilt retreat this weekend with my QFFs!!!!

I hope we’ll be able to get through on that road. Well, I should, because I have the truck, but the road is in pretty bad shape after the winter that we’ve had. Pretty much of a muddy mess, actually, and bad ruts. But the chance to spend a whole weekend sewing should be worth a little mud and effort, right!?!

I know that I’m working feverishly to have enough projects to work on – let’s see, two days of sewing = I should have at least five major projects, plus a few extra, just in case I run out of things to do!!! Next on the planning list is FOOD! We need to plan our menu girls. After that we can think about less important stuff – like packing clothes and having things done before we go on retreat!

And, speaking of having things done, I need to finish up the invoicing for DH.

Peace
