It’s the beginning of the month, so it’s time to review how I did last month and reveal my goals for this month.

So, how did I do?

1) Finish log cabin flimsy!!! – DONE!! I thought I would never get this finished, but it is finally DONE!

002

2) Assemble blocks for pink and purple quilt. – DONE!! Actually, I thought I had made my goal that I would get them layered and ready for quilting, so I’m a step ahead on this!

3) Finish donation quilt that was started in May AND make another one for June. – Almost done! I have both quilts assembled and quilted, but they both need binding.

007

4) Cut strips for Bonnie Hunter workshop that I’ll be attending in July. – DONE! and more than done!! I’ve cut WAY more strips than I need for the workshop, but I’ll be using them in future projects, so not to worry!

So, I finished three of my goals and almost finished the fourth. Not too bad this time!

One of the contributing factors to reaching my goals was the play date I had with Bev and Barb! I was able to get all the pink and purple blocks layered and I got the quilting done on both donation quilts. Yay!

Here we are set up at one of the picnic tables. It was so pleasant to be able to sit outside, listen to the birds and feel the gentle breezes blow while we stitched up a storm!

Bev worked on a couple projects, one of which was her Easy Street quilt. She’s all set to get it quilted now! Barb was making a quilt as a gift, so I don’t have a picture of it right now, but I can assure you that it is going to turn out wonderfully.

When I got back home, DH had cleaned up a number of things around the house and he had these for me:

Sometimes he can be so sweet!

Now onto the goals for July.

1) Sew a dress for a little girl who is going to be a flower girl in her cousin’s wedding. I know this isn’t quilting, but since I have to get it done and I can’t concentrate on quilting when I have it hanging over my head, I think I can safely call it quilting related!!
2) Quilt the pink and purple blocks.
3) Attend the Bonnie Hunter workshop. A real hardship, I know! 😉
4) Bind the two donation quilts that are almost finished and make one more. I’m getting to the bottom of my pile of kits – I think I only have three more to go!
