How’s everybody doing, getting ready for Christmas? I have to admit that I haven’t been too shabby in the getting prepared situation. DH and I managed to get all the shopping done early last week. On Friday, I got EVERYTHING wrapped, labeled and ready to go!! And on Saturday I managed to bake Christmas cookies.

Yeah baby!! I think I’m ready for Christmas!!

The plans for today include giving the house a good once over before the craziness starts. Woo-hoo – you all know how much I LOVE to clean house!!! 😉

Yesterday was the big day at our church, which turned into a not so big day. On the Sunday before Christmas our church sets out paper bag luminaries. I showed you last year’s picture:

Well, this year, due to expected rain and high winds, the luminaries were cancelled. We still had our evening service, which was very, very nice, but there were no lights. 🙁

Anyway, since I wasn’t nearly as busy as usual, and I needed to keep busy with something, I managed to get all the foursies sewn for the Celtic Solstice mystery quilt!!!

One of the 120 needed. I haven’t got them all pressed yet and I still have to sew the pinwheels from clue #3, but I’m catching up! I’m not likely to get much sewing done for the next few days (HA! That’s an understatement!!) but I might be able to squeeze in the pinwheels sometime and then I’ll be all caught up on the clues. Of course, Bonnie will be sending out another clue on Friday, so it’s hard to say if I’ll be able to KEEP caught up. But I just have to remind myself “It’s not a race!”

Oh, I put a few pieces up on the design wall, but I really have no guesses on how these clues are going to go together.
