Today is DS#1s birthday! He’s turned into a man that any mom would be proud of and is raising (along with his lovely wife) some fantastic grandchildren! I hope he has a great day!

Birthday Son

I’m trying to get a lot of office work done for DH/Boss #1 since the rest of the week is going to be very busy with other bosses.

Over the weekend I managed to figure out what I am going to add to the latest Round Robin challenge. Unexpectedly, DH gave some feedback that was insightful. I took his input seriously and then pulled some fabrics, which he okayed. Who knew that he would be that helpful with quilt designing!?! I guess there’s hope for him yet!!

On Sunday afternoon, I worked diligently at cutting down scraps into usable strips. My main goal was to get more (much, much more) variety for the borders for my Tumalo Trail quilts. I am using 1 1/2″ strips for the borders. Which means I need something like 80 – 1 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ strips for each side of each quilt (yes, do the math – that’s 640 strips, at a minimum!!)

I have got a long way to go. But I still have hope that I will get them all done before the end of the month! Send me some positive energy so I can stick to that goal.

Peace
