The process of choosing fabric for the mystery quilt that starts on Friday has become overwhelming. I keep looking at my fabric and trying to decide which ones would look good together. I’ve come up with so many different options, that I’ve become paralyzed with indecision.

Here are a few of the combinations that I’ve come up with:

Choice #1

Choice #1

The yellow in this one is more golden than the photo shows. I’m still not sure about the magenta print.

Then I had a “great” idea. Why not do a low contrast version!?!

Choice #2

Choice #2

I couldn’t find any lavenders at first so, I tried blues. But then I found some lavenders:

But then, as I was taking these photos, I realized that tiny strawberry print just wasn’t working. It was “too” low contrast for my taste.

So I found a different pink. It gives a little more texture because the print is bigger.

Then I went back to a darker version. I found this green and purple print that I thought might work, but after taking a photo, I don’t think it would. The purple in the green would blend into the other purples and I don’t like that.

Finally, there is this combination.

Choice #6

Choice #6

With all the light combinations I want to use cream neutrals. I’m wiffle-waffling on whether to use cream or black as the neutral with darker colors. If I use black, it will be a very dark quilt, if I use cream it will lighten it up.

Decisions, decisions! If any one wants to chime in on which version they like, it might help me make up my mind. Leave a comment with the choice number. TIA
